For the first few weeks, I rarely cried. I saw it as my great faith and trust in God that I didn't feel much sorrow. But now I weep all the time. At first I saw it as a sign of weakness in faith, but then I realized that Jesus wept, and Mary must have felt great sorrow too at her Son's suffering. I still have faith and trust in God in this situation, but to not cry is to deny the sadness of what's going on. Whichever one chooses or has been born into, everyone wants to be close to the God of their understanding. We were created "In the Image of God". We posses an abundance of emotions, grief, happiness, sadness, jealousy, fear, anger etc.. Why would we think that the God of our understanding does not have or feel these emotions just the same as we do if we created in "His" image. Aside from that, is it really necessary to be part of a religious group in order to connect and have a relationship with your "Creator"? Whichever one chooses or has been born into, everyone wants to be close to the God of their understanding.

You bring up some beautiful points. Sometimes just thinking about ways I will have to grieve in the future makes me want to sit down and cry a bit. But yes, it is hard to grieve the way God does.
