I remember a local news story a few years back about some guys who wanted to mourn the death of their friend by mooning the people at the wake. I can't remember the details, but suffice to say that they honestly thought that this would honor the memory of their friend. Some people made a stink about it. I think that if that's part of their mourning process, that's totally OK. I mean, if other people at the wake had a big problem with it, that might be different, but in general I think #1 is a great rule. I’m a huge proponent of #1. It was wonderful. As you know we are at our most vulnerable during the process of our grieving. We often turn to others for help or to talk to and it leaves us uncomforted or even more confused. Everyone has the right to express our grief in our own unique way without hindrance, but not everyone is made aware of this right. I have heard the various "Bill of Rights", but never as a collection before. I think they are great. Thank you for sharing this post Caleb! It was wonderful. I saw Dr. Wolfelt speak about funerals/grief in Regina, and I enjoyed his presentation from beginning to end.
