I am politically active and will stay so because on this one point, we disagree - I think government does more than guide. I've seen it in the Civil Rights laws and the right of women to vote. I believe that the governmental authority with the greatest power should be the closest to the people. Therefore local city government should have the most power and the federal government the least.
