The Book

Over the past couple years I’ve been doing something that totally goes against my personality … I’ve been pitching my manuscript proposal to a number of larger publishing companies … I’ve almost been tempted to spam their accounts with my million dollar ideas … but I’ve resisted.

My proposals have made it to the editorial boards of all the companies I’ve sent the proposal to. They all said that because I don’t have a major platform coupled with the publishing world being so rough right now, they all decided they couldn’t pick me up.

They all liked my writing and gave me enough encouragement that, despite their rejection, I felt confident that somebody would resonate with my proposal.

This past February I sent the proposal to a small Christian publishing company thats got some connections to Biblical Seminary.  I was pretty sure they’d resonate with some of the missional aspects of my book and sure enough they liked it, thought it was innovative and let me know back in April that they were going to accept my proposal.

So, I’m on my way to being the most famous undertaker since Joseph of Arimathaea.

As of now, the book goes by the same name as my blog, but the material contains a lot more narrative and is as fresh as a baby’s bottom when it’s clean and bathed and all.

I’ve got the first draft done.  But there’s much editing ahead and months until this project is birthed.

So, if you’re interested in this project, do me a favor and head on over to my facebook fan page and “like” me.  I’ll be using the fan page to provide the updates on the status of my book.

Thanks!
