What happens if a pacemaker is cremated?

If not removed before cremation, pacemakers will explode causing upwards of $10K in damages to the retort’s inner brick lining.

Asian Doctors Bow to Organ Donors: Six Stories

I can’t be 100% certain that all of these stories are entirely correct as a couple have been sourced from Reddit.

An Open Letter from a Dutch Father Who Lost His Daughter in the MH17 Attack

Those who experience sudden bereavement (like the families of those lost in the MH17 attack) are more likely to experience traumatic grief.  Traumatic grief brings with it a slew of thoughts and reactions, including both anger and bitterness. As you can see in the letter below, this beautiful girl’s father (as we can imagine) is just having an awful time.  And he (in what is likely a healthy response) allows his thoughts, feelings and grief an avenue of expression in this letter (that has been translated to English) written to Putin.

Thank you very much mister Putin, leaders of the separatists or the Ukraine government!

For murdering my loved and only child, Elsemiek de Borst!
She was 17 years old, 5th “gymnasium” student at the “Segbroek College” in Den Haag.
And she was on her way to her holiday in Maleisië together with her little brother, her mom (my ex-wife) and her stepfather.

Elsemiek would have done her final school exams next year, together with her best friend Julia and Marina, she did so good in school!
After that she wanted to go to the “Technical University Delft” to study engineering, she was looking forward to it!

But suddenly she is not here anymore! She has been shot out of the sky, in an unknown country, where there is a war going on!

Aforementioned misters, I hope you’re proud to have shot her, amongst other, young life and future.
And that you will be able to look at yourself in the mirror tomorrow morning.

I hope you will receive this message, maybe translated in English (what you as a intelligent gentleman could read just fine)

Thanks again!

Regards, Elsemieks father Hans de Borst from Monster, The Netherlands, whose life is ruined!!

PS mister Putin, I hope that your intense conversation with our prime-minster Rutte opened your eyes!
I know you are impressed by this and I would find it impressive if you took the initiative to guard the crash-sight with the Russian military, so the Dutch investigators can do their job.
Thanks in advance.

The Rainbow Bridge: A Poem for Pet Loss

By the edge of a woods, at the foot of a hill,
Is a lush, green meadow where time stands still.
Where the friends of man and woman do run,
When their time on earth is over and done.
For here, between this world and the next,
Is a place where each beloved creature finds rest.
On this golden land, they wait and they play,
Till the Rainbow Bridge they cross over one day.
No more do they suffer, in pain or in sadness,
For here they are whole, their lives filled with gladness.
Their limbs are restored, their health renewed,
Their bodies have healed, with strength imbued.
They romp through the grass, without even a care,
Until one day they start, and sniff at the air.
All ears prick forward, eyes dart front and back,
Then all of a sudden, one breaks from the pack.
For just at that instant, their eyes have met;
Together again, both person and pet.
So they run to each other, these friends from long past,
The time of their parting is over at last.
The sadness they felt while they were apart,
Has turned into joy once more in each heart.
They embrace with a love that will last forever,
And then, side-by-side, they cross over… together.
